EAIE 2021 | Community Exchange: virtual session

September 28, 2021 @ 8:00 am - October 1, 2021 @ 5:00 pm

Together with Adriana Pérez Encinas, from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, and Davina Potts, from the University of Melbourne, Nannette Ripmeester (Expertise in Labour Mobility/i-graduate) will look at different initiatives in Europe and Australia that aim to measure the employability outcomes of learning mobility programs.

The session will look at three measurement tools of the impact of mobility.

Nannette Ripmeester will discuss alternative ways of assessing the development of employability skills via a digital tool, called CareerProfessor, that measures employability outcomes while testing a students’ intercultural understanding in an engaging way.

Davina Potts will discuss a study from Australia that explores how international study opportunities connect to skills development and career outcomes of graduates and alumni who have studied abroad.

Adriana Pérez Encinas will look at the Erasmus+ app, created during the ErasmusSkills project, that measures and conceptualises students’ learning curve before and after their mobility program, mainly focusing on employability competencies.

Due to continued uncertainties surrounding travel and large-scale events, the 2021 EAIE Conference and Exhibition in Gothenburg, Sweden, will not go ahead as initially planned. Similarly to last year’s EAIE annual conference, the event will take place in a virtual environment.

This year’s annual conference will surround the theme of ‘Bolder. Braver. Go.‘ It will allow people to think about bolder and braver ways forward in international education and around broader concepts such as society, governance, the environment, and much more.

Registration for the event will open at the end of May. Make sure you save the date for 28 September–01 October!
