The Global Internship Conference is a forum dedicated to advancing the knowledge of academic work placement and experiential education. As a platform for dialogue, and a vehicle for action, the GIC brings together colleagues to discuss and advance best practices as well as develop and examine a research agenda for global internships. GIC 2020 is taking place in Vancouver and Nannette Ripmeester will be there with a session on ‘Understanding the ROI of Employability’.
Research shows employability is a key decision-making factor for international students deciding where to study and it is a key motivator for recommendation. In this session, we’ll share global data insights and how data can be used to inform directions for possible solutions using internships and gamification to inspire the young generation. We will use the ’employability maturity diagnostic’ tool to engage participants in a lively debate whilst evaluating participant institutions’ employability program.
