Who: Students and recent graduates interested in starting an international career.
details & bookingWhat: One full-day and two half-day workshop sessions that help participants get to grips with their international career development and create their own action plan for their next career step. Most importantly, they will be able to act on that action plan and take their career towards the next level, either within academia or beyond.

What: After the workshop, participants will understand the value of their study abroad experience. Workshop attendees will be able to see their international experience through the interviewer’s eyes, and know how to market it during their job hunt and job interview.
Who: Students & graduates who have international experience and want to effectively present it to potential employers.
What: A fast-paced workshop focused on practical approaches of dealing with diversity. It combines theory, with real-life examples and interactive elements to trigger interest towards different cultural values and make people aware of their own cultural background. It’s an introduction to getting to grips with diversity in an international team.
Who: University administrative and teaching staff that wants to effectively communicate with their international colleagues and/or students.

Careers Made in Rotterdam is a full-day interactive event designed for international students who want to kick-start a successful career in the Netherlands. Conducted in English, it consists of career workshops, presentations from professionals representing key industries in the city and a chance to mix & mingle with successful internationals who made it in Rotterdam. The event is organised by Expertise in Labour Mobility in cooperation with the Municipality of Rotterdam and a number of leading Higher Education Institutions.
The previous CMiR event took place on Wednesday the 21st of June 2017. On that day, we welcomed a selected group of 100 highly motivated international students to visit ‘De Rotterdam’ – the largest multifunctional building in the Netherlands. You can find the programme here.
